Wedding

We were invited to attend a friend’s wedding onboard Carnival Celebration so we booked and are happy we did. Loved our cabin (ocean suite) with comfortable bed and 2 tvs. Spacious bathroom and balcony. Lots of activities and shows onboard. We especially enjoyed the comedy shows at Punchliner Comedy Club and the nightclub atmosphere at Limelight Lounge. DJ Copey kept the hits playing and people dancing. The 80s party and white party on Lido deck were both enjoyable. The production shows at Center Stage were extravagant and interesting, and of course bingo was always a hit (not for me but my friends enjoyed it). Karaoke was fun and always had a packed room.

Overall the food was good. Main dining room, Festivale, was consistently good but the food was never hot, almost always just room temperature. The specialty restaurants were also good. Fahrenheit 555 was good but again the food temp was not hot. Big Chicken was always enjoyable. Pig & Anchor was also always good (especially the smoked chicken and collard greens, and baked beans) even though the food was just room temp. Guy’s Burger Joint was just fine, nothing great, just fine. The Mandarin Honey Crunch Salad at Chibang was my fave! I could have that salad every day and be happy. Sweet & Sour Shrimp with Steamed Rice was good but again only lukewarm temperature. The steak was just ok and would not order again. The linguini at Cucina del Capitano was another fave. Would definitely have again.

Drinks were available everywhere all day. Alchemy Bar has very interesting options. One of our faves was the Youthful & Bold. Yum! Margaritas in the Limelight Lounge were consistently good, and Espresso Martinis at Latitudes were another fave. Red Frog was always busy serving yummy drinks.

Cabin Review

Ocean Suite

Cabin was quite spacious with lots of storage, very comfortable bed, sufficiently adequate bathroom, and a larger than average balcony.
