Sail Date: Jan 2024

We did the 14 night (back to back) journey from Jan 5, 2024 to Jan 19, 2024 from Miami and ending in Barbados. We have recently traveled all the ultra luxury cruise lines and wanted to see how Explora stacked up and we'd have to say it's right up there with Regent and Seabourn. Explora may even have an edge when it comes to customer service. All the crew members made you feel like family. They'd do anything for you if you asked. We asked early in the journey if they would show the NFL football playoff games but at first they said they couldn't then they worked it out and showed all the playoff games thru the weekend in one of the lounges on the big screen. Larger ships wouldn't do that. We loved all of the crew and got to know them well. Monique, the cruise director was very good. Natasha that coordinated trivia was awesome and even left us a hand written thank you note at the end of the cruise. No one's ever done that on other cruise lines. Constantine from the photo shop gave great lectures on how to use your cell phone camera. Jamie the guitarist was excellent. Ben our room steward was the best steward we've ever had (much better than Silversea's butlers). Niki Sepsas was excellent giving port talks and tips on all the ports we visited. Niki Skye sang a Whitney Houston montage of songs and nailed them all. She was so good. Sarah Furness was a helicopter pilot who gave great lectures. Justine and Nataliia on piano were both awesome and we listed to them every chance we could. All in all the crew, entertainment and ambience on the ship were top notch.

We were in balcony cabin and it was very comfortable. Nice touches like a heated bathroom floor, large, soft fluffy towels and a very comfortable bed made us not want to leave. The food in every venue was top notch. We loved Sakura as our favorite (shout out to Mary and Kris our favorite waiters there). Marble and Co was our second favorite. Make sure to make reservations early for both Sakura and Marble. The other venues were also excellent.

All in all we LOVE Explora and plan to cruise on them again soon!
