After reading all the negative reviews of the Seascape, I approached this cruise with some trepidation. Fortunately, I was pleasantly surprised! We have been on roughly three dozen cruises, on many of the main cruise lines, so we do have some measure of comparison.

We had been given two different boarding times (not a great start) so we split the difference and arrived halfway between the two - about 2:30. We parked in the garage but you now must pre-pay the amount for the entire cruise before entering the garage. From parking to our cabin door took about 45 minutes - very efficient.

Getting to our cabin floor was an adventure since everyone was trying to get to theirs via the elevators. The elevators are unique on this ship. You punch in the floor you desire on a wall mounted tablet OUTSIDE of the elevator the cars (there are NO buttons in the cars, themselves) and then are instructed which elevator car is going to your floor and approx. how long to expect its arrival. Confusing at first, but actually pretty efficient. Initially, however, many were unhappy as they were unfamiliar with the process. The elevator cars are pretty small for a ship this size and that, compounded with luggage, strollers, etc., produced somewhat of an early traffic jam. On embarkation and debarkation days, it helps to use either the fore or aft banks as opposed to the mid-ship set of elevators. Once you arrive at your room, the room key cards are attached to the door handle.
