There is a trolly from the cruise pier to the beach club. At the trolly stops, vendors accosted you for taxi or golf cart to rent. The village shops were closed, but you could go 7 miles into the town if you wanted souvenirs. We didn’t dare do that do to some of the reviews we read about the problems others have had there.

Bimini Beach Club

I stuck my toes in. The beach was nice, the water was clear but a little chilly. Just a handful were in the water at noon.

The entire site was overcrowded. Long lines for drinks. Uncomfortable chairs.

We couldn’t find 2 seats together on the non VIP side of the beach.

We asked a staff person to help us find seating. He said sure, follow me. He took us to the vip area. When we got there, the hostess said nothing available unless we wanted to pay $500 for just a cabana. The VIP area was empty at 1 pm? Only ¼ of the beach chairs were occupied but we couldn’t sit there. Some VIP’s who were sitting on the beach in that area said there was no service, they had to go to the bar to get drinks.

At Sailor Services, they told us we could rent a cabana for $400 and they would give us a $100 bar tab. It was as far away from the beach and pool. Some online reviewers mentioned there were property thefts from beachgoers in the past. We decided to return to the Scarlet Lady and relax by the pool. We found lounge chairs in the shade and didn’t have to wait in line at the bar.

We booked the “all inclusive” vip beach excursion from Virgin. Although it was pricy at $200 pp, the food and drinks were good. We had ceviche, quac, mahi and fish tacos. The quac was far better than what was served on ship. The Margaretta was excellent and the beer cold. The beach waiter ran his butt off taking care of us. The beach felt safe, and water was beautiful. The bus stopped at the light house and crocodile viewing area, but the majority didn’t want to get off, so we continued on to the beach.

There were adequate beach beds with tables and umbrellas. Snorkeling if you wanted and a Tequila tasting at the end. The only negative is that the bath/changing rooms were primitive.

The ride there gave us a short tour of the island. I’m glad we didn’t rent a vehicle to explore more. The roads are narrow and didn’t feel safe.

There was a tequila tasting included, which was fun. This turned out to be a lucky pic for excursions as the many of the other beach/snorkel adventures were canceled due to wind and weather.
