We had a great time on our Silhouette cruise, our first on Celebrity after 16 on 4 other lines, mostly Royal Caribbean. There were many positives but I first want to comment on the crew - the Silhouette crew was hands down the friendliest we have ever sailed with. Everyone we came in contact with had a smile and a happy greeting for us; main dining staff were great and very efficient, buffet staff as well. However, we would like to single out one crew member in particular - our steward in cabin, Jose. This man was the warmest, most humble and most friendly gentleman we have ever had the pleasure of meeting onboard a cruise, he was very efficient and attentive as well; we hope to see him again on a future Celebrity cruise.

Food and drink. We didn't dine at a specialty. The main dining room food was good, especially the prime rib on day one and French onion soup offered daily. We were pleased with the selection and overall quality of the Oceanview Cafe (buffet) food, we thought a few of the dishes we had there were better than some of the MDR offerings. We were pleasantly surprised by the extent of the late night offerings in the Oceanview. There were usually 4 or 5 different pizzas available as well as salad and a pasta dish and desserts; it was great to see that the staff was able to make multiple pizzas at once unlike another line that shall remain nameless (ok, rhymes with Scharnival) that laboriously makes one at a time making you wait about 15 minutes for a slice or two. Bar service was very good, wait times not too bad. My wife had a couple different martinis at the martini bar, wasn't crazy about the espresso, chocolate was good and the bananas foster was excellent. I'm more of a beer guy; I wasn't overly impressed with the limited craft selections but Sam Adams was available so I was happy!

Entertainment. We didn't see any of the productions in the theater, but the other entertainment/games available in the Sky Lounge and Grand Foyer were good and kept us busy. The two bands on board were both pretty good, we enjoyed listening to them multiple times, mostly in the Grand Foyer.
