This was the second time on the Norwegian Dawn. First time was not a long time ago, in July 2023, cruise to the UK/Ireland and Scotland. The worst cruise ever! But as we were so dissatisfied of this cruise, we received money back and a voucher of 25% for next cruise. As this cruise to SouthAfrica is very expensive, it was a great moment to use the money and voucher. And fortunately, the flights were in the package! And more fortunately, we had the opportunity to upgrade our room to a family suite on the 12th floor, the best we could do!

It was a great cruise, we have seen a lot of the animal life in South-Africa. However, the start of the cruise was really bad. The onboarding was the worst ever! We had a slot on 12.30, at 2pm we were still not on the boat! And by a mistake of NCL, we missed the opportunity to enter the ship earlier as we had a suite. Nobody was helping anybody that was waiting for the busses to the ship. It was hot in the building, terrible organized! And when we entered the ship, we had to pick up the key card in the restaurant. And again, we missed the concierge that could help us more quick and easier than we had now. Not a good start! But when we came in our room, it was a wow! Huge, beautiful, clean, with a big window, huge bathroom, lovely bed, wine, strawberry's in chocolate. It was really good moment to forget the onboarding.

I can write a lot of the cruise, for us it was positive. We really liked the tours with NCL! The Pumba reserve was the best tour ever. Same as the tour in Namibia with the Catamaran to the lagoon, beautiful, really good organized!!!! The best show was Elements, the Ukraine guy is mjummie!!! He had a second show on the last evening, mmmm, wow ;-).
