Booked a cruise with stops to Caribbean: Harvest Caye, Cozumel & Roatan. Liked the fact that this was a fairly new liner. I had bight expectations, but was disappointed. There is no luxury on Prima, it is indeed very minimalistic even down to the essentials store. I was hoping to find some t-shirts and goodies, and was left with zero options. They had a few shirts but sizing was for small children. The buffet was a miss. All the desserts made available were lacking flavor, dry and bland. I had burger 2x from grill out of near starvation, the texture was too weird to gamble on. Speaking of gambling, the casino did have a variety of slots and seemed larger than most, even providing a smoking section. Back to food, ate at restaurant Hudson's and was not impressed, the strip steak was somewhat tough with inedible pieces. Moving along to the local bar & grill, wings and fish - chips were a hit. Accomodations were a struggle. Booked an interior cabin that can accommodate 4, I don't see how it can comfortably accomodate 4. There are 2 twins combined to make a full/queen AND a bunk bed type loft that pulls out of ceiling and directly hangs over either side of bed, impeding rising from bed. This was a learning lesson, pictures on site surely do not reflect this. Bathroom was spacious, plenty of storage with closet and drawers. The pillows are horrendous downs that offer zero support. Last but not least the ever so pleasant lingering smell of excrement. On to the activities for kids, not many other than entourage for 13 and up, race track was a nice try but at $15 a race it's a one and done. Tee time is $10 and is a short run. Did not have movie night on pool deck. There is an area with standalone binoculars and covered seating. Overall I don't see myself crushing on this ship anytime soon. The stops were sublar, very limited shopping and eating. If all you are looking to do is water activities then that's fine, outside of that there is not much else.

Port Reviews

Cozumel was the only port that had tons of shipping options; be sure to keep money on hand to use restroom, they charge $1.

Harvest Caye

Not much to offer but beach activities. Free zoo like walk through but it's short.

Very limited shopping and food options unless you go off port.
