Sail Date: Jan 2024

We've sailed with P&O many times, first sailing with them back in 2011. This was the first time we were going to receive 'priority' boarding, however our embarkation time was delayed due to the requirement for the ship to be deep cleaned after a gastro intestinal disease outbreak. We arrived on time for our delayed embarkation and waited two hours outside before we were let into the terminal. We then waited another hour to go through security.

Our cabin was dirty with mould in the bathroom, the bath drain was blocked, smelt and six of the light fittings were not working. The drain was rectified, but the dirt on the 'tiles' was ground in and wouldn't come off despite several attempts. The lights were examined, but apparently there were no spare bulbs on board. This was not rectified during the five weeks of the cruise.

The TV system was old and frequently out of service. When working the TV screens are of poor quality and roughly the same size as the average laptop.
