We wanted a different experience than last years Ruby princess cruise. same month, same ports(sorta). similar ships.

Wanted a better experience with service than last year. we paid extra for the Reserve class. we got it. It only provides dining room service. nothing else. they say you get a better location balcony but i didnt see any difference in that. Service in the dining room was great. it should be. we paid a lot extra for it. 500 or 300 extra. cant recall exactly. The food still isnt as good at royal caribbean. but close. the pay extra premier dining room was nice and exceptional. we only did sabatinis this year. twice. buffet was nice. flow was good. food was actually equal or maybe better than the dining room. pay extra lobster isnt really worth it. service was great everywhere though . everything was very clean. a little bummed that they charge now to use the spa sauna and steam rooms. and the regal gym is not very good. they charge now for stretch class. $30 for 30min. everything is going nickel and dime. back to the gym, you enter right by the smokers area. its a bad location. nice older crowd. not too many kids. respectful everywhere. embarkation and debarkation swift and orderly.

Cabin Review

mini suite is nice. gonna be hard going back to a std balcony. bathtub is nice. had a few long soaks. double flat screens are very cool. balcony had a odor i think gave me a upper respiratory infection. like a cold and sore throat. went away last day. odor went away too. just rainy and cloudy so didnt use deck much. but that see throught glass observation walk thing was above and took the sun away, which kinda sucked. was what i wanted to get coming from a cold winter. but, i enjoyed the cabin. didnt see any difference being in a 'reserve' mini suite. room service and any help from princess chat is very good.

Port Reviews
