Having just returned from our Caribbean cruise on p&o Arvia and having cruised more than 30 times .i have to congratulate p&o on reducing their standards to little above the average holiday camp .very poor service at all the bars staff that aren’t properly trained to handle the simplest of requests.4 times we had to ask for water in the cabin .my best friend was waved away from 3 different bars trying to get a coffee for his wife . As for sea days we dreaded them people reserving sun beds 2 in sun and 2 in the shade when this was pointed out to the staff they just ignored us . As for the dress code I have no problem with people wearing shorts and t shirts in the horizon buffet that’s their choice but I do object to them wearing them in the main dining rooms. What I’m going to say now is quite clearly my opinion but when you reduce the price of a cruise to around the same price as a fortnight at a holiday camp you attract a certain clientele . summing up this is what p&o must want more bums on seats less staff lower overheads greater profits . Such a great shame as I used to work for P&o and can remember when they did things the right way
