We are Long time Holland American Cruisers that took this cruise with Princess due to the timing and destination.

Room: This obstructed view is fine from the view standpoint, it is at the top of the stairs from the promenade, but that was not an issue. The first 4 rooms on this deck including this one are narrower than other rooms and also have the really annoying feature of having two bunk beds handing on the side walls. With a double bed in the center, we were constantly hitting our heads on the bunk beds when getting in and out of bed. Avoid this room. We had three days of cold or lukewarm showers that 3 different princess mechanics were unable to fix, Finally the 4th one fixed the issue, but why did it take 3 days? The shower is very, very small, but functional.

Food: Comparable to HAL in most ways and generally at the correct temperature. Our waiter was extremely attentive and made dining a pleasure. The beef served was very poor quality and often served bloody when medium rare was requested. One beef entree was so bland, tasteless and grisly that it was the first dish I have ever sent back in over 150 days cruising. Simply decided to not order any beef dishes. Plentiful seafood that was properly prepared.

Port Reviews

Cabo San Lucas

Tender only, and simply full of cheap vendors and aggressive vendors trying to sell tours. A great port to stay on the ship,.

Cartagena (Colombia)

The cruise oasis is excellent, free and full of parrots, monkeys and flamingos. Shopping is actually very good, Cartagena has extensive, history old city that is well worth visiting. Getting to down town is difficult and expensive from the cruise oasis. We used UBER by stepping outside the oasis gates. Getting back by uber from downtown was extremely difficult because of traffic. Do NOT try to meet an uber in infront of the old town clock town gate, If you try to use uber, ask the driver where a good pickup point is for the return to the ship pier.
