This was our first cruise in 4 years & we had a wonderful time. It was our 3rd time on Anthem of the Seas. Our 19 year old son loves all the sports fun in the Seaplex, we liked the North Star experience, the shows, service, etc. Boarding the ship was done very efficiently. We had a balcony room that was really nice.

The food choices have really been cut back, especially for the gluten free choices. This was super disappointing since it had always been such a treat to eat on past cruises. Now the Windjammer had curry daily - no other choice. The desserts were either jello or mousse. No tempting desserts for me. The main dining room didn't denote on the menus what would be safe to eat, as most restaurants do. The head chef seemed very annoyed that he had to advise me what was wheat & oat free at our meals. The gluten free (GF) pancakes were so tough both times I tried them. The GF section in the Windjammer was often empty of food & unmanned. Sorrentos pizza made a GF pizza & the cafe next door had GF cookies sometimes, but you had to ask them to see if there were any in stock. Just a word of warning if you have food restrictions/allergies that food options are now extremely limited!
