Sail Date: Jan 2024

3 days before we sailed, we were contacted by P&O who advised us that our cabin was no longer available and gave us an ultimatum of a downgrade to inside cabin with a 50% refund or cancel our holiday. We were left with no choice but to accept the downgrade. We booked this cruise in June 23. The ship itself is in a poor state and in desperate need of a refurb. The food was substandard. We we both fed up aloft chewing on tough tasteless meat. Same old same old everyday. Repetitive food over and over again. Chefs don't seem to know the meaning of seasoning. Entertainment was drab. Only enjoyed a small handful of shows. Card Ninja was embarrassing. Complaints from fellow passengers of having to spend a full week on board with no working toilet in their cabin. Hot tubs closed for 5 days for maintenance. We wasn't allowed in the restaurant on formal nights because I had no tie or jacket despite being very smartly dressed in trousers and shirt. Staff looked like they didn't want to be there. Never smiled apart from the odd few very good ones. Overall experience was awful. Wouldn't cruise with P&0 ever again nevermind on the Azura. The pre cruise customer service experience left us with a foul taste in our mouths.

Cabin Review

Bathroom was tiny. Couldn't even get dried in it as it wasn't big enough
