Traveled with children

I will start by acknowledging that most of the issues we experienced would not have occurred if I was traveling solo or with just my wife. But traveling with our five children, ages 6-21, caused many issues.

Overall, while the staff was mostly very friendly, they seemed to be inexperienced and/or undertrained. This was apparent right away during embarkation when they didn't want to let us on board because our adopted son didn't look like the rest of our family. It took longer than necessary for a supervisor to explain to the check-in agent that all of the surnames on our passports matched.

After boarding our rooms were not ready for several hours after the stated time, which wasn't a huge deal other than the public restrooms on board had run out of toilet paper. When our rooms were finally ready we received a call that security had confiscated our son's bag and we needed to go address that situation. Even though he is an adult, they insisted that a parent come because his bag was listed as belonging in our attached room so they wouldn't release his bag to him. Once we arrived they kept asking where the drone was in his bag, even after unpacking everything. He did not have a drone.

Cabin Review

Upon arrival we called to have the beds split but that never happened. We had to track down a room steward at 10pm to make the change.

Additionally, our balcony rooms did not have enough room to store our bags so they remained on the floor for the duration of the cruise. There was enough for two suitcases in the closet so couples would be fine.
