This was our seventh continent to visit. Always had been put off by the cost, but bit the bullet when Atlas offered 2 for 1. We had been close to a decision to use Viking. The ship, crew, and voyage exceeded our expectations. Lucky for us, on a scale of 1 to 10 (worst) the Drake going was a 1 and 2.5 returning. The expeditions were overwhelming visually and animals blew us away. While most days it was cloudy, it rarely fell below freezing. Polar plunge was excelerating.

The ship was beautiful and the crew very friendly, they knew your name by the second day. Food was extensive and as good as Oceania (which is our regular crusie line). The exploration team was very knowlable. Easy to make new friendships with everyone aboard.

The daily routine was rigid timing, similar to river crusing. Expeditions were grouped into four groups, the start time was rotated daily.

Cabin Review

Washroom was stunning, only issue was entering the washroom, it was diffcult to enter if partner was at sink. Shower had multiple water sprayers, important to check temperature prior to entering as it was alway cold, but warmed up fast.

Lots of storage space.

Bed put you to sleep almost immediately.

TV internet live was sporatic, no problems with movies. Located at bottom of bed on wall.

Having a full size couch was nice
