We chose this cruise as we had been on trips last year on both Cunard and NCL and wanted to try something different. Overall, the ship was lovely, but the quality of the food left a lot to be desired.

The Anthem is a great ship if you want to be entertained. There is lots to do and the shows we saw were all amazing. We also did the escape room, bumber cars and i-fly activities, which you can participate in for free at various points in the itinerary.

The ship appeared relatively well maintained and clean in the public areas, as was the cabin we stayed in (a balcony on deck 8). No complaints on the standard of service either. All staff we encountered were helpful, polite and happy to assist. The outside areas, particularly around the pool are busy and loud, but this was to be expected. Particularly as we were travelling to sunnier climes in the middle of winter! The inside pool was less busy, but the solarium was always heaving and we never managed to get a spot to sit in there up until the last day.

Cabin Review

No issues with the cabin. Roomy, clean and plenty of storage space.
