A nice ship, but it’s just way too big and service levels are very low. Doesn’t stand up to the other cruise lines we’ve been on. The staff work extremely hard, no criticism of them, but they’re faced with 5500 people at a very unfavourable ratio. Prepare to wait for things to happen, drinks, dinner bookings etc….it’s all very impersonal too. Cruising for the masses.

The buffet is to be avoided. Shouider to shouider. The chef’s table was exceptionally poor, a roped off area of the buffet! Nothing special about it whatsoever. The kind of service where your main course comes 30 seconds after your starter, unfortunately. Other specialty restaurants were good and quite varied.

Shore experiences were very well organised, as were the plane/ship transfers. If you’re lucky you’ll get a Thomson flight. It was good. If you’re unlucky you get Maleth; we heard a LOT of moaning and calls of compensation for lateness.
