We chose this cruise because BOS has not been here in Australia before only ROS,same class but different ship. We just wanted to go on a smaller ship again. It was a 10 night South Pacific cruise to in order as we went,Lifou,Luganville,Vila,Mystery Island and Noumea. We have done a few cruises into this area before.

At this time, the start of our cruise season is usually very good, but this time we had a cyclone come through the Islands a week or 2 before and it was not sure if we would get to our destinations. Lifou was first stop and the weather going there was a bit bumpy but otherwise it was nice. Lifou is a island that I have not explored, only swam, thats what I did this time. Then back to the ship which was pretty empty so the solarium was fantastic. The solarium on BOS is fantastic in my opinion, with the pool cafe with it you just cant fault it,its the place I spent most of my days on board. What made it good was that I was in cabin which was just down the stairs at the same end.I use stairs when I can. Our room was great,it had a balcony, comfy bed, good TV and we were happy. These ships have a shower curtain, which dont do too much except flood the floor...lol. Hand basin was a bit experienced,it had a few cracks but it did the job. Plenty of storage in this room,no overbed storage, and we have big suit cases that did not fit under the bed,but that was ok.Air conditioning worked well and sitting outside was just great. We were so lucky as we got to go to all our ports, after our cruise a lot of the ships from Australia didnt go to the islands at all, they went elsewhere as it was a very early cyclone/rough weather period. The food was great in the MDR,dinner and breakfast.Lunch was usually something light in the pool cafe. We are Diamond plus so we have cruised a lot only from Australia and everyone has different tastes and expectations, but we are easy going and just relax all the time. The entertainment on our cruise was pretty good but we didnt go to all the shows.Staff are amazing and gthe do care for you,the ship was looking good for its age.Its really good that you can walk all the way around it,even to the helipad, get the wind howlong across your body. The shops are in a smaller arcade, relevant for the size of ship.Windjammer (when we went there)the food was good, great selection and fresh. The diamond club is very small and the chairs are in my opinion too big for the small area, and to get to that level you had to only use 1 set of lifts . All in all its a good ship and its so good we are doing another cruise in 4 weeks around the top end of Australia and ending in Perth, flying home to Sydney. Looking forward to this cruise as well

Cabin Review

Ocean View

Was nice, had a balcony as swe always do and this really helps, not that you are in your cabin much, but its nice to unwind on. Shower curtain is only downfall, but who cares. We got a topper on our bed and it was super comfy,tv was good even the chenels were ok. Storage was good, plenty of room and hangars. Cant complain at all....but we did have a very loud banging noise that took 3 days to fix and a few phone calls to get it done.It was a internal noise that had to be located,I think it was a swinging loose pipe, but it was fixed and thats all that matters. Cabin category could be wrong, might not have been 4N.

Port Reviews

Luganville

Great beautiful place. Very hot and humid when we were there, so beautiful cruising to the port. The people are so friendly and there are so many tour options to go on. Unfortunately I couldnt do anything on this port but I did venture to the markets. We loved this place, our first time here as it can only take smaller ships which in Australia we dont get anymore....only on this rare occaison and its here all season
