Sail Date: Dec 2023
Cabin: Mini-Suite with Balcony
Traveled with disabled person

This is our second time on the Majestic. We had sailed on her in 2019.

Cabin mini-suite. Bathroom was still tight but a real bath is nice option. Though the plugs aren’t the best for holding water, especially in the sink for shaving purposes.

Balcony was very small for a mini suite, uncovered so no privacy from above. We knew about this though before boarding. Though water drips from deck 16 when it is being cleaned, or when raining.

Cabin Review

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Overall I was disappointed in the size of the mini suite.

It also felt tired and in need of refurbishment. Couch bed was to low and very difficult to get up off.

It seemed no larger than the balcony cabin we usually book, and the balcony itself was small and very tight with just two chairs, a small table and no foot loungers.

It was nice having the bath, though it was hard to keep the water in as it slow trickled out. The basin plug could not be kept down and did not hold water, we used a face flannel to keep the water in.

We were using a wheelchair and the room steward trolleys were a constant pain to manoeuvre pass.

Port Reviews

Had an overnight in Hobart.

Very easy to just walk off right in centre of town.

We always enjoy stopping here and wandering around.

Easy to walk around but this was our first time with a wheelchair and it shocked me how hilly Hobart is.

Great café near the port. Daci & Daci Bakers. As if the cakes on the ship weren't enough, this place was magic for cakes.

Kangaroo Island

Sadly disappointed in this port.

Most of the shops were closed and impossible to get a coffee.

Island not as picturesque as expected.

Sydney (Australia)

Ship is docked right at The Rocks and close to everything.

Either to go into town or the train station or to the airport.

We booked a Princess transfer to the airport. Good value for money.
