I chose SS after great experiences and to try the Silver Moon for the first time. The experience was great, considering the cost, itinerary, and wine selections. A superior offering to other luxury lines such as SB and RSS. The trip excursions were quite good, with several of them in more isolated/exclusive destinations.

In general, the food was excellent in most restaurants, particularly La Terraza, Kaiseki, and Atlantide. Pizza and gelato are also fantastic! (best I've tried across all luxury cruise lines). While La Dame's venue is much nicer than in older SS ships, I think the food was not as good . Also, Silver Note was below expectations compared to the one at Silver Muse, where it is outstanding. The wine was, as usual, quite good, and the head sommelier, as well as the Sommeliers at La Terraza and Atlantide (Jovi and Kim), were outstanding!! Regarding attire, it seems the line is relaxing rules a bit and was not enforcing formal attire as they could (thankfully!). I understand they will continue to relax further the attire rules making it more optional in the future :).

Regarding entertainment I notice an improvement from older ships, but still below the productions of more massive lines like Celebrity. Excursions were complimentary and good ones. Read more
