I just returned from a 7 nite cruise on the Norwegian Viva. Our balcony room was located on the 9th floor, overlooking an area where other cruisers could use an infiniti pool, sunbathe, walk the ship. We had no privacy when out on the balcony , at all times as other guests were out there as early as 6 am, and until 2 in the am, everyone could see us as well and look into our room so the curtains had to be closed the majority of the vacation. The 8th floor food hall was under our room, the noise was loud at nite, had to use headphones to sleep. The VIVA has no nightly turndown service, towels are not changed unless you request them to be, there is a charge for all room service, which took over an hour the few times we used it. The worst part of the ship is the lack of food to eat. The buffet, which is really small, has limited food variety, and is open for breakfast until 10, then 1230-230 for lunch, and 530 -930 for dinner. So, when you come back from an excursion, or want a snack after the show, there is almost NO PLACE TO EAT. They have snacks on the observation lounge and in the local bar, but if you have any food restrictions/allergies you will be HUNGRY the entire cruise, as I was, DISGRACEFUL. The entertainment was awful. They had 2 comedians who rotated shows, by day 2 they had no new material and they were mildly funny at best. The big show production, Beetlejuice, was worse than a high school show, ( we walked out) Just an FYI, we did not care as our adult children were with us in another room, but the main pool is TINY, and the seating area around the pool is small. If you like to enjoy the pool, this is not the ship for you. The elevators took forever so we ended up walking a majority of the time.

Cabin Review

our cabin was small but ok, shocking for a brand new ship. We were on the Celebrity Beyond this past summer, and that room was amazing.
