Dealing with Azamara precruise was a nightmare. They actually "lost" one of our bookings and don't get me started on their website!!

We were therefore very pleasantly surprised at how well our cruise went. The fact that there were less than 400 passengers may have helped but everything from embarkation on was so easy. Never had to queue for anything.

We did ask our cabin attendant to remove the coffee table from our cabins which gave a lot more space. Travelling as a family we had two connecting cabins which worked really well.

Cabin Review

Club Veranda Stateroom

There are very few connecting cabins but if travelling as a family I can highly recommend them. Just get rid of the useless coffee table!

I'd read lots about the tiny shower stall but found it worked well. Just aim the water at the wall.

Port Reviews

Cape Town

Excellent and safe introduction to South African game.

Very secure port.

Port Elizabeth

Visited Addo elephant Park. Amazing!! This is a must do.

Durban

Only place I felt a bit less than safe. Private tour to Natal lion Park and Tula game reserve. Lion Park was sad. Game reserve very good. Cooler than expected.

Richards Bay

Do a tour to the wetlands to see the hippos. Highly recommend.

Mossel Bay

Ship's tour to Botlierskop. Very scary and incredibly bumpy game drive. Wonderful cheetahs.
