I have taken several cruises on Celebrity and Celebrity Beyond but this cruise was a Big disappointment. The checkin was smoothed and the Sunset Veranda Sky Suite was an excellent room. But the great quality food that Celebrity has been know for in the past was subpar. The food in Ocenview was just average at best but the beverage service was a miss. Fewer staff and no service. The few times we did catch someone it took 20-30 minutes for their return. They have increased their prices in the Speciality Restaurants to land prices - $60-80 a person for Fine Cuts and Eden and others. The steaks in Fine Cuts was NOT the same quality of the past nor the service. Eden was the Best we ate at but again not the experience of the past. The one hit was Raw On Five which did an excellent job and Great Service. At the coffee bar they were out of several teas from day one and pushed the regular cheap bottle of water by being out of Evian. The greatest disappointment was the extra surcharge for glasses of wine like Decoy which has always been included in the Premium Drink package. Even though it was a couple of dollars it’s an insult to nickel and dime your customers while your posting record profits. The food in Luminae was also a great disappointment- the options were terrible and no where near the quality we had back in April on the Beyond or last year. It was obvious that the staff was new and not well homogeneous. We learned that many of the previous staff was moved over to the Ascent which we taking in May out of Barcelona. We were originally booked on the Beyond then but received an email last year that they cancelled our reservation due to repositioning the Beyond to the Caribbean which cost us money and Onbard credit as we had to scramble to get rooms on the Ascent which already had been 75% sold out and the prices were increased dramatically 4K verses the Sky Suite that we had booked. Rather than honor the same package we had booked they just said they were sorry and had to start over.

We have been Loyal to Celebrity and Royal Caribbean in the past but it appears that now they are putting Profits ahead of their People who cruise with them often. Talk is cheap and marketing slogans carry little weight-actions speak loud! As a result of this cruise we came back and booked on Viking for a 2025 cruise.
