Overall an enjoyable cruise with one of our favourite cruise lines. The food was very good and on a few occasions much better than expected. However the Prima not our favourite ship, by a long way. The layout is poor with small venues and tight walkways, they really have crammed everything into this ship.

THE SHIP

As stated we were not fans of the ship overall, the decor is stunning in most areas but the layout lets its down on every level. Evening venues we wanted to use were so small you had to line up 45 minutes before to get a seat so we never did get into Syd Normans. The Observation Lounge was packed from morning until early evening. Everything is so crammed in you have to walk through areas you wouldn’t expect to to get around, for example the buffet, to navigate across the top decks. The pool deck is small and very unwelcoming. The small sun deck above was a total wind tunnel and smoking area. The Atrium is stunning but impractical and doesn’t have the feel of the other ships.

Cabin Review

Balcony

We loved our standard balcony cabin, it was the most spacious we have ever had. Storage was very good with three wardrobes and pull out baskets. The design was vibrant, we just loved it. Balcony seating was also plush for a standard balcony. The bathroom was well designed and spacious with an almost double shower.
