I would recommend you pick a different ship and even a different cruise line completely. It is really that bad. The worse of the worst? The food. The overall food quality and selection is poor. Not what you would expect from HAL. The food is either way overcooked or undercooked. The service is slow and there are way too many mistakes. Seriously it is a cruise where you actually dread meal time. On one night I actually got food poisoning from their chicken in the dining room. It’s just awful. I lost weight on this cruise because it was a constant struggle to find good food to eat. Most of the food dishes are tasteless and it is really shocking when you get let’s say a steak and it gray, bleeding and like rubber. This is every single meal. Avoid this ship at all cost.

The entertainment is not good in Billboard. The singers are cheesy and way out of tune. The Rolling Stone Rock Band sounds like a high school garage band with poor vocals and even worse musicality. BB kings is great but they don’t play every night. The stage shows are the same stage shows that have been playing in HAL ship theaters for the last seven years. There is just nothing new to see here and it is tired. The lectures have nothing to do with your cruise. Our cruise had lectures on cattle and the slave trade. It’s just really pathetically irrelevant and boring.

Our cabin and cabin steward have been great.

Cabin Review

Family Oceanview Stateroom

Cabin is great and our room steward Tony was the best thing about our cruise.
