This was the first 12 days of a 24 day B2B HNL to PPT then Return to HNL. I was not impressed. The beds in both rooms were uncomfortable with linen that smelled funny, like dirty socks. I found this smell was prevalent throughout the ship, including the dishes, silverware and napkins in every restaurant. Not sure what water process was used for water purification, but it left a rancid smell on everything. Room was directly over the starboard gangway so the sound of banging, squeaking metal was constant during port visits and a loud thumps were heard below like furniture being moved. Room was the bottom of the barrel in rooms. It had been so long since someone actually used it, that it need many repairs, including the air conditioning, to make it somewhat habitable during my last 12 days. The porthole glass had blobs of green paint right in the center, making looking out useless. Also, because it was located farthest forward next to the crew quarters entrance, the sound of the crew entering/exiting occurred at all hours of the night as the door banged each time. I don't get motion sickness, so the severe rocking motion of the ship didn't bother me, but it probably would have many others.

Food was just fair except for the soups and desserts. Best soups I've tasted and the black forest cake, which sadly, was only served once during the whole 24 days, was absolutely delicious.

The level of hype for new cruise sign ups, jewelry purchasing, drinks and art was over the top and in your face from the cabin TV to the signs and even announcements by the cruise director. One trivia game was so tedious because the staff handling the game would stop after the answer and say which NCL cruise ship went to that answer's location. Took forever to get through 15 questions.
