We have just returned from a wonderful cruise on the Queen Victoria. It has been a really uplifting experience. Travel to Southampton was by coach from Victoria London, where our luggage was taken from us and there it was in our stateroom when we arrived there. The stateroom was immaculate and of a good size especially the balcony which was larger than we have experienced on other ships. The whole ship was beautiful and so clean and fresh. The decor was to die for. Meals taken either in the main Dining Room or the buffet were of very good quality. I was lucky enough to have a birthday while we were there and received a birthday card from the Captain and staff and a birthday cake and chorus of "Happy Birthday" from the waiters. This is done automatically for all who have a birthday while on board.

There were too many activities to list here but something for everybody's interests.

The service in general was 1st class. Whenever one passed a member of the crew there was always a greeting from them. Our cabin steward in particular always greeted us by name.

Good size especially the balcony area. I must mention the beds - wonderful. I would like one like this at home.
