Sail Date: Nov 2023
Cabin: Verandah Stateroom

We used O's Extraordinary Savings Sale to get our B3 cabin for a mere $1749 PP plus $300 OBC PP (which paid our gratuities). So, the price alone made this trip worth it. BUT we travel for itineraries and this one did it for us. We only had the 1 sea day, which I do not enjoy that much, but we had Athens, Kavala, Istanbul, Messina, Naples, Rome, La Spezia (changed due to weather from Livorno), Marseilles, and Barcelona! (We stayed on for 3 nights in Barcelona afterwards.)

We only ate in the 4 specialty restaurants, the Terrace Cafe and Waves. NO GDR for us. Hate to have to wait to eat and don't want to dress up. Love the TC, eating under the stars. And Waves for every breakfast. Love my Sun Salutation smoothie. We found the food uniformly favorable, in all the venues. On this cruise, we DID do the pizza station, which seemed very empty most nights, and enjoyed a nice pizza on the last evening!

We did NOT do any entertainment. We only do the comedians, and they had a magician/comedian. Don't care for that. And heard bad reviews on the Italian performer from others. We are NOT the string quartet type nor the afternoon tea type.

Cabin Review

Verandah Stateroom

Our cabin was comfortable, quiet, and clean. Our room steward (Ohla) and attendant (Kathy) did an outstanding job and earned their end-of-cruise tip from us. I enjoyed the veranda in the evenings, drinking the beer, hard liquor and wine I brought on board at embarkation and during the stops in port.
