We chose the cruise to go to bermuda for 3 days as other cruises spend shorter time there. We were hesitant of MSC before going and should have listened. Itinerary changed as we were boarding to port canaveral and bahamas-we only had approx 7 hours on each port. Knowing the itinerary change before we would have backed out and saved the trip for a later date. This change was disappointing but thinking we were going to warmer weather was wrong too. We traveled through an intense storm that produced 60 MPH wind and 16 ft waves for 3 days. Getting on and off the ship was confusing and aggravating. Part of upgrade we got priority boarding which meant nothing to anyone we asked. Sleeping was hard and almost impossible with the pounding we were taking. This caused pools and hot tubs to be closed for most of the cruise. Even at ports they didn't open them up which was again disappointing. At one port we looked over at royal Caribbean and they had music, pools and dancing. Other things that went wrong - we upgraded our room to a premium balcony with jacuzzi. The jacuzzi only worked 2 of the 6 days - it was cold most of the time-like cold to touch. No one could fix it when asked. Our room flooded by the sliding glass doors and had a wet floor for most of the trip. Given towels to lay down the whole time.
Didn't receive room service 3 out of 5 mornings and one of the mornings it came at 10am and not 6am. This was another perk of the upgrade that was disappointing.
Food in main dining room was just not edible. Wife got sick off a dish, thought maybe motion sickness but then talking two different people got sick off the same dish. Rough seas or bad food?!. Also main dining room food took a long time to get food-both nights were hour and a half at least. Food at buffet was ok but not many choices when we went, pizza was good. Buffet had continental food section and cooked food section - cooked food had weird hours and those were not friendly with our normal food schedule at home. Paid for specialty restaurants which were all better than other options for food.
