We just returned from 10 days on the Riviera, and we had an amazing time! This was our second cruise with Oceania, having sailed on the Marina last year. We found every member of the crew to be so friendly, helpful, and professional. We were always greeted with a smile. My husband and I definitely felt spoiled by exceptional service from everyone we encountered, from our cabin steward to wait staff in the restaurants and bars. We found all of our meals to be delicious. We loved the specialty restaurants, and we had excellent service in each one. We had dinner four nights in the main dining room, and we really enjoyed our meals in there as well. We tend to like the main dining room over the buffet, so we did not have a meal in Terrace this time. Waves was good for lunch, and we loved the pizza for a casual dinner several nights. Baristas is always wonderful for cappuccino and a light breakfast each morning too. Taking advantage of the 2-for-1 Happy Hours and cocktail parties really helped with our liquor bill.
Our cabin type was a veranda stateroom, and we thought it was quite roomy with lots of storage. We definitely enjoyed the balcony, as we had lovely weather on this trip for all days but one. The newly renovated bathroom was wonderful, and I especially loved the large shower.
My husband and I really enjoyed the evening entertainment on the Riviera. The in-house production cast was very talented with lots of energy, and they put on a great show for four evenings of the cruise. We also really enjoyed the guest comedian, the strings players, and the piano player in Martinis.
We loved the renovated staterooms! The bathroom had lots of storage space and a huge shower.
We took the ship's excursion "Taormina on Your Own" and had a great time! Taormina is breathtaking, and we enjoyed time on our own for lots of picture-taking, some shopping, and a light lunch.
We explored on our own in Valetta. We easily took the Barrakka Lift to town, and we visited both the Upper and Lower Gardens and wandered the streets of town. Then we took an Uber to the fishing village of Marsaxlokk, which we loved! We had a delicious meal right on the water.
In this port we did the ship's excursion "Olympia and Zorba Event". Visiting Olympia was very special, and a nice lunch with some entertainment followed.
In Corfu, we visited the Ambelonas Winery, which was set up in the hills with amazing views. We enjoyed wine tasting and light snacks. Following this tour was a visit to the Governor's Oil Olive Grove, where we got a great tour and another tasting. This was a ship's excursion.
Walking the walls was an incredible experience! We did this on our own.
In Split, we had a whitewater kayaking adventure! This was a ship's excursion and it was lots of fun. Beautiful scenery!
Here we toured the Krka National Park. I don't think I've ever seen so many waterfalls! This was a ship's excursion and our guide was terrific.
