This started out as a trip to Israel, Egypt, and Turkey. It was changed due to world events and only one of the original ports remaining from the initial itinerary was visited. The ship was lovely, food was good, and service was great. What I would like to do in this review is to share with you a missed opportunity on Celebrity's part to take care of their best customers: Elite members and above. But before we get into that, here is a breakdown of the basics:
Embarkation was the worst I've seen in my many years of cruising. I don't remember sitting around waiting due to a lack of equipment available to scan luggage in a timely manner before. It seemed disorganized- perhaps there was a lack of staff?- and it appears to have set the tone for what was to come.
