This was our 5th Royal Caribbean cruise and first on Quantum. We chose ship due to North Star, bumper cars and itinerary etc BUT North Star was broken and inoperative entire cruise and out of the 4 stops we only stopped at 2 due to Cyclone Lola. Cyclone Lola was known to the “sailing/cruise experts” however we were not told until after boarding. North Star not working and bumper cars were open 3-4 times throughout the 17 day trip and for 1 1/2 hours each time to cater for 3700 passengers!! Entertainment was woeful. 17 days of cruising with only 3-4 shows and other than that trivia and a sad attempt at origami with no materials so had to use old advertising material. Trivia prizes on an international, huge ship were plastic rings to the winners.

Covid was rampant on the cruise with no mandatory testing and no masks or announcements. Some of the more honest of passengers quarantined, the majority happily coughed openly throughout the cruise. Stained bedding on the beds and the food pretty much the same everyday in the Windjammer and repetitive dishes in the main dining room.

This by far was the worst cruise I have been on and responses to complaints by Royal Caribbean were insulting with no acknowledgement to the situation and no offer of a future cruise credit or anything.

Cabin Review

Ocean View Balcony

Cabin was very small but lots of storage but bedding was stained. Housekeeping did not replace cups/coffee/tea/spoons used and items had to be requested or sourced ourselves.

Port Reviews

Heard bad reviews about the port but we found disembarkation fast with friendly staff.
