We chose the cruise based upon the itinerary and the length of the cruise. We knew that some of the options would be limited. Having less people made it more relaxing and easier to get around, up and down throughout the ship. The glass elevators were elegant and fun.
The buffet was much more limited than other NCL ships. The aft deck is recommended for buffet dining, as the indoor dining area is stuffy and warm.
Bars are few and far, with limited hours. Cagney's is their best specialty restaurant. The service and food selections delivered. Le Bistro was a huge disappointment in terms of service and value. The Pinnacle was a huge (positive) surprise for us. I highly recommend it for a romantic cocktail hour because it's a hidden treasure. The sushi was fantastic and the service was sublime.
Balcony staterooms have less storage than the newer ships. Recommended packing travel hangers and magnetic hooks for additional items. There areneight hangers, three small drawers and a cubby under one nightstand. We stayed in balcony stateroom.
