We had the opportunity to visit many Mayan sites, snorkel, kayak, etc. But in the end we chose easy excursions such as walking tours and visits to distilleries, breweries, and chocolate factories. This worked out well, since it was rainy season anyway. The food and the entertainment onboard were excellent. The gym was great too. Getting on and off for excursions was easy…probably because there’s only 875 guests onboard. The launderettes are free…but the machines a bit complicated at first. Our only complaint was the difficulty getting a table at a reasonable hour at the specialty restaurants. The staff was extremely helpful. We chose free room service for breakfast on our excursion days…this made eating and timing easier. Most guests were from U.S.; it seemed to be mostly NOT from big city areas. Never figured out why that is. Plenty of Canadian guests too. Aaron, the cruise director, was awesome. As was ALL the entertainment. We signed up for private tours of the bridge, and galley….which are UNadvertised!

Cabin Review

Deluxe Veranda Stateroom

All DV cabins have balconies. Although a bit cramped, they are nice. The nonalcoholic mini fridge, and chocolates and nuts, were all free. Bathrooms are spacious enough. Heated floors and free shampoos etc.
