We chose this cruise to get us back to our home port, without the need for a long flight at the end. We had commenced a Panama trip in April on the Island Princess, unfortunately, we were medically evacuated after day one. The trip on the Majestic was a last-minute booking to make up for our missed holiday. The ship was the biggest we have cruised on and although very well laid out we would still prefer a smaller ship. Things have certainly changed since COVID there is a definite cutback in some of the inclusions on the Princess ships and a feeling that they constantly seeking opportunities to increase revenue. Being a relocation cruise with lots of days at sea there was a more mature age group, which suited us. We were particularly disappointed with our one experience at specialty dining, we had looked forward to a good Chinese meal, and although the service staff and ambiance at Harmony were good the menu and food were very disappointing. This and the cost turned us off from trying any other specialty dining. Having said this we were pleasantly surprised by the quality and choice of food in the main dining areas, at no time did we have to wait for seating and the staff were always attentive and pleasant. On the Princess Plus, they had made a big thing about specialty desserts being included, what a joke, these turned out to be the most decadent ice cream Sundays only available on the pool deck, I can not believe anyone would want two in a day.

Entertainment in the Theatre was particularly disappointing. We were pleased that we had booked a Premier Balcony cabin and the extra cabin and deck space was worth it. The bathroom although compact worked well.

One criticism when talking to other passengers was the variance in fares paid in different countries for exactly the same product, I suggest more research on the various websites before booking.
