We just returned from the July 30th sailing of the Radiance of the Seas, and can't say enough good things about it!
We arrived in Vancouver the day before. Stayed at the Renaissance Harborside, which was beautiful. We didn't have much time, but we did get to see the Olympic Torch and spent a lovely morning at Granville Island. We arranged with the car service to pick us up at 1:30. Then it was a short 5 minute ride to the dock. Embarkation was painless, taking about 25 minutes (some of the Border guards were at lunch, so it was slower than usual). Boarded the ship around 2 and found our suite. It was our first time in a suite, and it was wonderful! For the first time we had enough drawer space! And you could twirl around the bathroom and not hit the walls LOL! Had a large tub/shower also.
Our attendant, Eduardo, was terrific! Knew all our names by the next morning. I was sick during the week, and he kept asking if I needed anything, such as tea or some more tissues. And the concierge, Juan, was so wonderful! Anything we needed, he took care of. Made me a spa appointment for the next day in no time at all. And I loved being able to go to the concierge lounge in the mornings for breakfast. Bagels, lox, danish, even hard boiled eggs were just footsteps from our room. And the coffee was delicious!
Grand Suite 1532. Very quiet, tenth floor, towards the front elevators. Spacious, comfortable, tons of storage room in drawers and closets. Lots of room in bathroom including 2 medicine chests and 2 deep drawers plus room under each sink of the 2 sinks. A short walk to the Centrum Elevators and the Concierge Lounge.
