After booking and paying for this cruise, we got an update stating that our first port of call had been cancelled then a second port of call had also been cancelled, the replacement on the first port had been changed to Seattle, we live in Vancouver BC, the second cancellation no substitute provided. While on the ship other ports had also been cancelled one due to weather one because of civil unrest and then mechanical trouble the result was that we spent the next 5 days at sea before landing at Fort Lauderdale. The Panama Canal was worth seeing and the information provided was very good. One of the stops in Mexico was a waste of time as there was nowhere to go other than souvenir stalls and a bar with a swimming pool right at the port.

One out of the three hot tubs was not working plus many other equipment being broken or broke and not repaired.

I found the crew very friendly for the most part, and the food was very good with plenty of choices. Do not get fooled by the fine dinning option as you can only use one of the three options available once only and the Italian restaurant is not one of them. The customers service desk was extremely unhelpful and were not interested or had any understanding of the frustration that the passengers felt with many of the destination having been cancelled, we were all offered a $200 on board credit which was only good for the ship and no cash refund was available. I spoke with one couple at the customer service desk who had paid up front for there cancelled shore excursion in advance and were offered a $900 onboard credit which that had to use on board. We were very disappointed with Holland America and would advise others to read there fine print on cancellations policy's. Would never use them again.......

Cabin Review

Cabin was spacious has we had a wheel chair, bed linen was only changed twice in 20 days, and the cleaning crew lost my wife's night dress that was never found and customer services said there was nothing that could be done about it.
