We anticipated this cruise that was years in the planning. It was postponed several times due to Covid . Finally, on the fourth attempt at booking this "bucket list" travel event, we succeeded in getting aboard what was touted as an upscale ship rated a 10 for its culinary excellence. Indeed, when we entered our cabin, we were struck by its elegance and cleanliness.

The Regents was a small ship compared to some that we had booked in the past. We didn't mind that it was populated with older passengers as we counted ourselves among this population. At the beginning, we marveled at the responsiveness of the room attendant. Towels were replaced virtually every time we exited the room. We always came back to a neatly rearranged room and were provided our daily notices, and chocolates at night.

Where did the Regent fail to satisfy our needs?
