Was really excited to be boarding this cruise. My cabin is wonderful. The ensuite is very impressive. Full sized shower. Great for the plus size travellers. All staff are extremely friendly and very helpful. The excursions are very physically demanding. The food is really designed for the American pallet. Spicy or overloaded with sugar. The menu really doesn’t alter in the restaurants. On the plus side. No buffet. Order and receive. Because I am traveling the whole three sections to Sydney I’m really not looking forward to 44 days of unchanged menus. I know it’s the first time that it’s going to Australia, there hasn’t been much thought involved. Credit has to be said about free water and internet. On the down side the virgin app needs some more work. As far as entertainment. It’s lacking for the older generation. No art or craft. If you’re a single traveler , you might find the lack of activities different from other cruises.

Cabin Review

Wonderful. Spacious. Ensuite great with full size shower.

Port Reviews

Cairo (Port Said)

Port was ok. But the reason for the port was to see the marvels of Egypt. Not spend 7 hours return trip to spend four hours looking at the pyramids and sphinx. Was extremely lucky to see but it was a long time sitting in a bus for a rushed excursion. Also a very quick stop for a restricted visit to see the mummies and museum.

Santorini

If I could give half a star I would. I think all excursions are dependent on the guide. This port is extremely steep. If you’re not physically fit. Don’t go. The guide thought that we should be mountain goats. I’m not. If you are not either you will be left to find your own way back at your expense.

Rhodes

Physically demanding. Poor guide. Go at your own peril.

Safaga

Wonderful place to visit. Too far to see the valley of the kings. Restrictions on time for the museum. Eight hours return bus ride for a short time.
