Sail Date: Aug 2023

This was our first cruise on Princess. We have sailed with Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Celebrity before. We were very excited to go on an 11 day Alaska Cruise!

Let's start with the Pros. Main dining room food was excellent, drinks and specialty cocktails were delicious and the itinerary was wonderful. Big production shows were outstanding and I was able to perform the last night in the Voice of the Ocean competition!

Cons of the cruise: Embarkation was chaotic and incredibly long lines. Buffet is terrible. As good as the main dining room was, the buffet was the worst of any cruise we have been on. Little variety from day to day, few choices and bland food. After day 3 we chose the grill every day for lunch. Lounge entertainment was hit or miss, but the Irish singer at Crooners and the Brazilian band playing 60s and 70s music were highlights. The ship layout is very choppy and confusing, not open at all. Game shows and activities were a little bit lame.
