I travel quite a bit and on average have taken 2-3 trips per year (mostly international) for the last 25 years (except for Covid years) with possibly 90% of those trips including a cruise. These cruises include river boat, barge, and ocean cruises of a variety sizes, prices, and passenger census . I can honestly say I have never experienced a cruise that was as poorly executed as this Celestyal Cruise we endured in October of 2023. All 1300 passengers on this Celestyal Cruise were told to meet in the ampitheatre/auditorium room to wait for their excursion group to be called each day. There weren't enough seats to hold all those passengers. One day we waited crammed in the amphitheater 3 hours to be disembarked. Never was it an orderly process, but CHAOTIC. The tour groups were enormous making it very difficult to stay together as a group. The day we were to have had an excursion to Mykonos was the absolute worse of all. We were to have disembarked at 1PM. Instead, we didn't get ashore until nearly dark and the last tender back to the ship was at 9. Santorini wasn't much better. Our tour leader was extremely abrupt and rude. We had to use tender boats at all but one port - only docked at one port, which makes for a far longer disembarkation. The ship is dated, yet well maintained. The food was average quality, nice variety, and well presented. Our cabin was clean and well maintained. All service personnel were friendly and helpful except for our excursion leader. It would be my advice to look elsewhere for a Greek Isle Cruise. Celestyal Cruises does not offer a good experience!
Our cabin was a nice size with dated but adequate furnishings. There was plenty of storage for a 3 day cruise.
