The Grandeur of the Seas is the oldest and smallest ship in the Royal Caribbean fleet, so it doesn’t have all of the latest features that you would find on the Wonder of the Seas, but we had a great time cruising to CocoCay and Nassau with two sea days. It is very important when planning a cruise to know what you are purchasing. The disappointing reviews for Grandeur mostly come from people who did not know what to expect and they clearly did not do their research in advance. Grandeur is a classic ship that delivers awesome ocean views and a relaxing cruise experience. We are a couple in our 50s and we thoroughly enjoyed this cruise. We stayed in an interior stateroom on Deck 7 near the Centrum.

Boarding the ship in Tampa was super easy and efficient. The cruise terminal is right in Downtown Tampa and it took less than 10 minutes from the time we arrived at the terminal until we were onboard the Grandeur.

CocoCay was fabulous! We explored the island before settling in at some oceanfront lounge chairs. Umbrellas and chairs are plentiful so you just need to find the spot that you like best. The food and drinks on the island were very good and there were several restaurants and bars to choose from. One of the benefits of this sailing on Grandeur was that we got to CocoCay via the least expensive way possible.

Cabin Review

Interior

Our cabin was small but adequate. We loved our location being near the Centrum and we really only used the cabin to sleep, shower and change clothes. We loved spending any free time looking out at the ocean in one of the many public spaces that offered great views.
