We booked the cruise a little over a month before we sailed. It was the best thing we ever did.. My wife contacted a travel agent and they managed everything. The ship was great. Clean, well built and well laid out. Everything was spotless. It was easy to find your way and find what you wanted. The cabin was also spotless. It was a joy to stay there. The cabin steward was very proficient, kind and friendly. Learned our names the first day and serviced the cabin flawlessly. We took one Paid excursion. All the other excursions were put together by Viking. All excursion were very well managed. There was staff everywhere to point out where to go and what to do. The tour guides were knowledgeable and professional. Everywhere we went they knew the history and all of the high points as well as some quirky things. The food on the ship was GREAT… we ate in the Restaurant, the World Cafe and the Italian Restaurant. All were well managed, the food was well prepared and presented. It was all good. From the coffee to the desert - everything was excellent. The flight to catch the ship and go home were both handled by Viking and like everything else was professional. And well thought out. I did not want to go home at the end. That is how good the trip was.
