We have been on several cruises including having used MSC before. This cruise has completely put us off cruising ever again. The positives - The cabin was fine, smaller than other ships but this wasn’t a problem The cabin attendant was lovely, he couldn’t do enough for us. The negatives - no mandatory hand sanitizers getting on and off the ship or in the food areas. The food was poor and service dreadful, food was served cold, starters and main courses arrived at the same time. No red wine available with dinner (apparently they run out of wine by the glass). The buffet was even worse, dreadful food, people queuing to get a table. Getting on and off the ship was a pain. We sat on the tender in Mahon in the blazing sun for 50 minutes. In Marseilles there was only one security guard on duty leading to ridiculously long queues to get back on board. Every table of people had at least one person coughing and with the lack of mandatory hand sanitizers it came as no surprise that my husband came home with Covid. I’m pretty sure lots of people had tested positive for Covid.

It appeared to us that MSC are trying to do everything on the cheap with not enough staff, poor customer service and chaos on board. One supervisor in the restaurant told us that lots of people complained about the food which he agreed was poor (!), but that management weren’t listening. A lady we met from Austria complained to customer services about the food and service and was told to just relax!!!!
