I’ll start with the pros:

Outstanding staff – wait, room and bar staff were all superb. Professional and attentive. Praise goes to Milton and Mike in the Atlas bar. The perfect dynamic duo, gracious and fun.

Food was excellent. We dined in Discoveries every night. Varied selections each night along with standards to order. Delicious and beautifully presented. If you have a favorite wait staff (as we did – Bambang and Anderson) request to be seated in their area. We did and had so much fun with them – thank you guys!

Port Reviews

Aghios Nikolaos

Took a jeep tour to the Cretan mountains and towns - outstanding.

Walked around town which was beautiful. There is a small beach right next to where to boat docks - very nice.

Argostoli (Kefalonia)

Ship docked (bonus), however town is small and there is nothing there except retail shops. Found an outside tour to Myrtos Beach which was great.

Athens (Piraeus)

Athens is a must visit. If you are cruising, spend at least two days in Athens. Walk around and take in the sites.

Piraeus Port is massive. Make sure you know where you are going when you embark.

Old harbor port that encompasses a charming town. Walkable.

Book a tour with Dino (Dino's boat tours) to Palaiokastritsa. Beautiful old city, but a lot of walking.

Disembarkation only. About a 30 minute bus ride to Venice Island.

Catch a local bus to Chora and the monastery, it's 1.30 euro each way as opposed to 80 euro with the boat.

Book with Half Price Tours - varied excursions on the website and very affordable. Rhodes is doing fine after the fires. Old Town is stunning, don't miss the castle inside the castle walls.

Too hot, too crowded. It smelled like donkey dung and cat pee. So terribly disappointed. Be careful of waiting on line for the cable car that brings you up and down - shipmates got pickpocketed and spent the entire day back and forth with the authorities.

Scenery is stunning if you can break away from the crowds. Drink a Donkey beer (red) delicious.
