Our cruise started off in Reykjavik, Iceland. Much of the info regarding this trip on the internet was wrong. Many writers said that to get from the airport to the center of Reykjavik was difficult. That was wrong. There are buses exclusively for transportation from the airport to the city center at approximately $30 pp. Others said that from the central bus stop to your hotel was an easy walk. Not true if you have luggage to pull along. Switching to a smaller bus to get to the hotel from city center bus stop was only about $8 per person and easy to do but you will need to be able to lift your suitcases as there is no help available from the bus driver. Other people said that Reykjavik was relatively flat and easy walking. Not true. There are many hills and unless you are able to walk at least six miles without a problem, take a cab or a bus. Some writers said it would be very difficult to get a taxi to the ship from a hotel on embarkation day. That was wrong. Taxis were available and costs approximately $28 dollars.

There is not a lot to see in Reykjavik so I recommend taking the Golden Circle Tour with the Blue Lagoon.

Our one stop in Greenland was okay to just say that we were there. Nanortalik was obviously not a real cruise port stop because there wasn't anything there except a few old buildings depicting life years ago. Not even a souvenir shop.

Cabin Review

We had an inside cabin. It was very nice and very clean. The shower was tiny. We normally would have booked a balcony, but because the weather in this area is always foggy and overcast, the inside cabin was a better value for us.
