Food was excellent (nice choice and variety). Service has excellent (stateroom stewards were amazing!). Thoroughly enjoyed how close the ship got to Hubbard Glacier. Also enjoyed the other ports of call. The Naturalist on the cruise was also amazing. Saw dolphins, whales, and sea lions from the ship - cool!
DID NOT LIKE WARD’S COVE. Oceania’s parent company, NCL, has their own dock, outside of Ketchikan, AK. Makes them extra money, but passengers have to take a 20 minute bus ride to town, and wait 20+ minutes for shuttles (away from the downtown area) for a return back to the ship. All of the other cruise lines dock in downtown Ketchikan.
WI-FI was terrible on our cruise as it only allow one device (per stateroom) to connect at a time. (Like to be able to use Messenger when texted spouse onboard ship. Understand, there may be some WI-FI changes coming.
Overall stateroom layout is fine. Excellent selection of movies on the stateroom TV.
Bathroom (head) layout is ridiculous. Tiny and you can’t even sit on the toilet with one leg on either side. Shower is also very small, but manageable. 7-8” step from bathroom to the stateroom floor.
We stayed in the West End of Vancouver for four nights prior to our cruise (not far from Stanley Park) and loved it!
