We choose Marella because we could depart from a local airport, and the most important to us were the destinations. Another plus was only one sail day in the week. The destinations lived up to our expectations and the sail into Koper was lovely.

However, we found the dining below average, two meals were sent back. They were aware of problems, new staff, poorly trained and hadn’t worked as a team before. A Head Waiter was going from table to table taking comments regarding food. The first night we waited 50 minutes for our starter. We also didn’t like the two tier system for drinks, being asked ‘are you premium’ on every visit to a bar. Bars running out of ‘all inclusive’ drinks, so you either pay or move to another bar.

A positive- the Italian restaurant Vista, was much better food and service.

Cabin Review

Satisfactory- bed not the best.
