I am an experienced cruiser of 30 years, 40 or so cruises, mostly Celebrity but also five on Crystal, Regent, Azamara, Cunard, MSC, NCL and Royal. I was in the Owner's Suite and traveling with my mom in the suite, sister in another suite. First Oceania cruise.

First, the good. I love the R ships. The size is perfect. You feel like you are on a ship, and not in a hotel that happens to be at sea. It is an elegant ship, and the AC and plumbing worked fine. The elevators are small, and when one was out of service, it caused an issue on our side of the ship during busy times. I think they were painting right before dinner (??). But the ship needed some work: public bathrooms were often in disarray - like nobody had been by to straighten up all day. We never saw anyone cleaning handrails, like I have seen on other ships. It was impossible to get a seat by the pool because of the chair hogs.
