This was our first cruise with MSC and was a bit hesitant after reading some of the reviews, but our experience was very positive. We booked a Deluxe Balcony Suite Aurea experience. First, the embarkation process was quick and seamless, we boarded in Civitavecchia, we were on board within twenty minutes from luggage drop off to check in. As this was our first cruise with MSC we had a few questions and Catarina, Guest Service Agent was extremely knowledgeable and helpful answering all our questions. The cabin was large and cleaned twice a day. Boeny, our cabin steward was fantastic!!

Food was good, not five star but not horrible either. Our waiter Sani, and his assistant Rodrick were the best, very friendly, welcoming and attentive. We had access to the Exclusive Top Solarium and Thermal area which was a treat! Shows were good, a step above high school but not Broadway either. For such a large ship we never felt crowded and waited in long lines. Booked excursions for each port and were please with them. One area I would agree with other reviewers is that regarding the bars, (we did have the Easy Plus Package) bartenders tried to multitask by taking many drink orders at the same time causing a long wait time to receive drinks. Also, internet was not as fast as we would hope, but the MSC App was easy to navigate. Even booked another MSC cruise the the help of Kevin at the Future Cruise desk. Disembarkation was very easy as well, we carried out luggage off and literally walked off the ship.

Hoping our next cruise next year will be a positive experience as well.
